The criteria for the Players of the Year at The Peace Report is simple. We recognize the student athlete that exudes leadership in every game and when needed, will put their team on his or her backs to get a victory. The student athlete also should have a solid grade point average and be a active member in his or her community. Yes, we love big point numbers and playoff and championship performances help too. But here at the Peace Report we look at the student athletes total body of work.

Jenner is the do-it-all kind of player for the Eagles. She can score goals, she moves the ball with ease, she plays sound defense, and most importantly Maddie is virtually impossible to beat at the draw controls.

McDonogh now has won a whopping 177 consecutive games. The Eagles won all 22 of their games this past season. And a gigantic reason is because Jenner, with her tall frame and long arms was able to win every draw.

Maddie was the most dominating player in the country, because she would go toe-to-toe with some of the best draw controllers in the country.

The junior standout won 165 draws (56%) in 2017, including 14 in the Eagles 13–9 victory over No. 2 Notre Dame Prep in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) A-Conference championship game last month.

The Duke University commit finished the season with 44 goals and four assists.

UPDATE: Jenner has a 4.1 GPA. and she has helped the North Oaks Senior Living Community residents with technology.

Maddie also delivered lunches to Annapolis Light House, and helped local kids with their homework as a part of the Hispanic Tutoring program at Mcdonogh.

Here’s an article about the technology tutoring!
