Boys’ Latin will rely on veteran leadership to find success in 2018.

Boys’ Latin went 13–6 last season and made it to the MIAA-A conference semifinals.

The Lakers had a strong start in the conference but besides beating arch rival St. Paul’s on the road, BL stumbled down the stretch and weren’t able to rebound in the postseason.

This will be the final season for assistant head coach Gene Ubriaco with the Lakers. A few weeks ago Ubriaco was named the head coach at Loyola Blakefield, beginning next season. This will be a hot storyline that will be on peoples minds when it comes to Boys’ Latin and it will be interesting to see how the team rallies around the longtime player-friendly coach.

Brian Farrell will lead the Lakers in his fourth season as head coach. BL opens the season on March 7 against Pennsylvania powerhouse, Haverford at home.
