PRLB Committed Q&A with Lindsey Maxwell (Greenhill, TX / Vanderbilt)

Texas has become a goalie hotbed in recent years. With popular names such as Drew Morris (Maryland) and Rachel Hall (Boston College) come to mind.

Lindsey Maxwell is another goalie product to keep an eye on coming out of the Lone Star state.

Maxwell, who is ready to start her senior campaign this season for Greenhill HS in Dallas has the goods to be a star at the next level.

The Vanderbilt commit has been selected for the Under Armour Underclass event numerous times. And has also been recognized for her goalie play in Texas.

PRLB recently caught up with Lindsey to get her thoughts on the recruiting process, her favorite things and more in our Q&A series.

What’s it like being a high school lacrosse player ?

So much fun! I’ve gotten the opportunity to coach a few of the younger teams for my lacrosse club and it’s eye opening to see how much they look up to high school players. It really makes me realize that I’m never just playing for myself, but for the next generation of laxers watching.

Anybody you would like to Thank?

LM: I want to thank my parents first. They are my biggest supporters, and I can confidently say that I would not be where I am without them. Next are my club coaches, especially Lellie Swords and Christina Roa. They are very knowledgeable of the game and have prepared me well to play at a higher level. I also have to thank my goalie coach, Aaron Skiles. He has really helped me with fine-tuning my skills and pointing things out in my play that I haven’t noticed myself. Finally, I want to thank my supportive teammates who I can also call some of my best friends off the field. Whoever will get to be their teammates in college are some lucky people.
